Richard Tan 

Chief Operating Officer, LBi US

Richard is responsible for creating and managing the operating framework that allows the brands and creative forces within LBi US to come alive. He oversees the finance, operations, project management, HR, IT and Office Services functions, which form the backbone of our organization. As part of the Senior Management team for LBi Group, Richard is also part of the team responsible for shaping the global operational direction for LBi across the various offices.

Richard was previously the Group CFO/COO for bigmouthmedia and managed the integration into LBi in 2010. He is no stranger to creative, innovative and international companies, and has spent 15 years in the international entertainment sector. As SVP, Finance and Operations for MTV Networks UK & Ireland, Richard steered the entire brand portfolio including Comedy Central and Nickelodeon during its growth and expansion. Prior to that, he held several director positions in a number of Sony Entertainment Divisions most notably in Sony Independent Networks Europe, where he drove the M&A process of a number of independent record companies.

Richard holds an honors degree from Brunel University and is also a member of the ICAEW, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1993 during his tenure at Deloittes.
