Cedric Devitt is Executive Creative Director at LBi where he leads the agency’s creative department and drives conceptual thinking for the agency’s flagship clients. Integrating the best-in class creative departments from LBi Special Ops Media and LBi Icon Nicholson, Cedric works to capitalize on the expertise from each agency growing out the unique US offering and developing the AOR portfolio for the agency. He works closely with LBi CCO Chris Clarke to ensure creative consistency across the global group.
Prior to joining LBi, Cedric was Creative Director at Tribal DDB, where he helped lead the agency’s creative vision. Joining the agency in 2001 with only a small creative offering, he spent the next nine years aiding in the expansion of the department, keeping up with the ever-changing consumer and spear-heading some of the agency’s first fully integrated campaigns. He has also spent time at Grey Advertising and Berlin Cameron Doyle. His expansive portfolio includes work for clients such as Best Buy, Guinness, Hershey’s, H&R Block, Jose Cuervo, Kettle One, Neutrogena, Phillips, Sony and Sallie Mae.
His work has been honored at numerous award shows in the US and abroad, including: The One Show, NY Festivals, MIXX awards and the Cannes Short List. In his spare time, he co-founded the US Air Guitar Championships and produced Air Guitar Nation, a critically-acclaimed feature documentary about the rise of competitive air guitar.
Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, Cedric attended Trinity College. Unable to find work as an apprentice historian after graduation, he decided to head to New York, where he worked as a doorman on the Upper East Side. Lacking the required people skills, he naturally made his way into advertising after a few night classes at SVA.
