LBi scoops six wins at People’s Lovies awards
- LBi wins more categories than any other agency or brand in the public vote

London: Global marketing and technology agency LBi has picked up six wins in the People’s Lovies awards, becoming the most highly-awarded company in the scheme.
Four of the awards were for The Random Adventures of Brandon Generator, produced by LBi in the UK in collaboration with Microsoft and 3 Monkeys Communications, while the other two accolades went to LBi in the Netherlands for the Anne’s Amsterdam and The Voice Kids Game projects.
LBi’s work had already been awarded three Silvers and three Bronzes in the main Lovie Awards, and all six winning LBi projects have now been selected by the public as the best in their category.
The voting public chose The Random Adventures of Brandon Generator as the best work in the Integrated Experience, Design, HTML5 and Movie & Film categories, while Anne’s Amsterdam received the People’s Lovie for Education & Reference and The Voice Kids Game picked up the award for Entertainment.
The Random Adventures of Brandon Generator is an interactive animated graphic story, designed to build on the success of the Internet Explorer brand. It was created in collaboration with Shaun of the Dead writer/director Edgar Wright and Marvel illustrator Tommy Lee Edwards. It has had a Twitter reach of over 62.3 million, including Tweets from the likes of Stephen Spielberg and Jonathan Ross, and it recently featured in the top 10 of Stuff magazine’s List of Cool.
The Anne’s Amsterdam mobile app was created by LBi, The Anne Frank House and Repudo to give Amsterdammers and visitors to the Anne Frank House museum a clear picture of the city’s wartime history. The app beat its six month target of 12,000 downloads in just seven days.
The Voice Kids Game, created by LBi for the hit Dutch TV show The Voice, turned watching the show into a social family event. The game achieved over 80, 000 downloads, with 60,000 active players each week.
The mission of the Lovie Awards is to recognise the unique and resonant nature of the European internet community. The winners of the Lovie Awards and the People’s Lovies will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Church in London on Wednesday, November 14, 2012.
Simon Gill, Executive Creative Director of LBi in the UK, said: “We’re completely made up to see our work recognised by both the formal judging process and by the people of the Lovies. We always seek to engage our clients’ audiences – so it’s particularly thrilling to see Brandon Generator receive the accolades of the Lovies’ Internet savvy audience – the group we originally set out to reach with this campaign.”
