LBi promotes Michael Islip to UK Managing Director and appoints Marcus Mustafa to its UK Executive Board

- double promotion strengthens UK agency’s leadership team

Michael Islip, UK MD of LBiLondon: Global marketing and technology agency LBi has promoted Michael Islip from Client Partner to the position of UK Managing Director with immediate effect.

The agency has also appointed Global Head of User Experience, Marcus Mustafa, to its UK Executive Board as part of a move to further strengthen its leadership credentials.

Michael joined LBi as Client Director in 2007 before being promoted to the role of Client Partner in 2009. He has contributed an incredible amount to the growth of LBi and has helped developed some of the agency’s biggest accounts including M&S, Virgin Atlantic and Capital One.  

Michael has also played an active role as part of the UK Executive team where he has helped drive the evolution of LBi and cement its status as a one of the UK’s leading agencies.

Prior to joining LBi, Michael spent three years at OgilvyOne, where he was digital lead on the Cisco 360 business and part of the global American Express interactive team.

As LBi’s UK Managing Director, Michael will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the agency. He will also be responsible for client services and business development as part of LBi’s ongoing strategy to develop meaningful relationships with existing and potential clients.

Marcus has been with LBi for over 10 years and has led the transformation of the agency’s user experience offering into one of the best in the world. He has also helped LBi pitch for and win a range of big-name clients including BT, Coca-Cola, E.ON, Honda and Virgin Atlantic.

As a UK Exec member, Marcus will spearhead a series of initiatives aimed strengthening LBi’s blended service offering and helping the agency advance the industry benchmark.
