Using imagination truly brings the brand to life
An important message requires a medium with gravitas, which is why LBi chose film as the main component for the product showcases - the heart of the ecomagination Web site.
From inception to final production
From inception to final production of the films, LBi drew on our reserve of expertise including film direction, cinematography, scripting, editing, art direction, illustration and web development. Whether it was developing each product story into a solid film concept and shooting on location around the world, writing and recording the narration and then obtaining the considerable talent of actor Kevin Kline to star as narrator, or shaping the films in final edit, the films demonstrate the benefit of a truly integrated advertising and design agency working on all cylinders.
Creating a story that runs on all cylinders
LBi worked side-by-side with GE's marketing and product teams around the world to hand-pick the products that would best demonstrate the power of ecomagination. The site launched in January 2007 with four powerful stories: a desalination facility in Algiers, Algeria where a plant will convert salt sea water to drinking water for over 1 million people; a vineyard in Napa, California that uses solar panels to power nearly 100% of their energy needs; Arklow Ireland, where a 7-turbine GE off-shore wind farm powers a town of 16,000 people; and GE's Evolution Series locomotive, which lowers pollution while conserving energy. An additional 7 films are scheduled to launch throughout 2007.
Great content and lots of little steps can lead to global eco-change
